Unless you live under a rock, you’ll know that in the UK, it’s summer vibes time. The last seven days have graced us with beautiful weather, and you can’t help but let your mind wander and be filled with all the lovely sunny plans you’d like to do this summer.
But the thing is, the UK summers are short, and we’re already running out of time to cram everything in. And most of the time, we race around finding things to do and end up spending half the time in the garden. Is there anything wrong with the garden? No! The garden has to be the best place for summer vibes in the UK, in our opinion.
Is your garden ready for the summer vibes? Read on for some tips if it isn’t.
Renovating Your Garden
There’s no point sitting in a garden you’re not happy with – that’s not very summery vibes of us, is it?
Start by evaluating the current condition of your garden and determining what needs to be refreshed. Are your flower beds too crowded? Does the patio look worn out? Do you need better seats or more light? These kinds of things are best addressed first.
For major structural changes, you’re obviously going to need to hire professionals. They’ll have everything to handle a renovation with catastrophe, from a precast dock leveller to diggers. Garden renovations are actually so much cheaper than you think.
Once you have laid the foundation, it is time to move on and add those stylish touches.
Boho Vibes
Boho vibes are perfect for people who prefer an eclectic, carefree atmosphere. Think vibrant colours, mismatched furniture, and lots of natural elements.
Consider having multi-coloured outdoor seating areas with hammocks, hanging chairs, pouffes, etc. We promise you’ll never want to leave the area! Brightly patterned cushions and throws will complete the look.
Bring in all the plants you can: big leafy greens, cascading vines, blooming flowers, and more. Place them in macramé plant hangers, woven baskets, vintage pots, etc, for a real boho vibe.
Summery Vibes
Are you looking for a complete summer vibe? It’s essential to focus on elements that bring happiness and relaxation.
Water features, bird baths, umbrellas for shade from the sun – you need to make it a comfy oasis to relax in.
But for the real summer vibes, you need spaces for dining and entertaining friends, family members, or even yourself! A big dining table is essential – we’d recommend wood with a tablecloth. They’re easier to clean than glass and less susceptible to rust. You could also set up cosy corners with fire pits – you can buy cheap fire pits from Amazon.
If you want to be really fancy, think about having an outdoor kitchenette for cooking outside. Again, you can buy cheap ones online, and it doesn’t need a massive install!
And please never forget details like using vibrant tablecloths, pretty plates, and fresh-cut flowers – they can transform any meal into something special.
How will you transform your garden for summer – either this summer or the next one? Concentrate on comfort, style, and small summery touches to create an outdoor sanctuary.
