Until recently, Mews of Mayfair was well known and established as a classic Mayfair location. A sophisticated lounge and cocktail bar serving up delicious dishes and elegant drinks into the early hours. However, the iconic venue has since had a bit of a makeover. It been re-launched as a brasserie restaurant with a distinctly British theme.
The best of British without any pomp.
“We decided the market was changing and therefore updated the restaurant. This was to give Londoners a new take on the best of British without any pomp. It has delivered Mews of Mayfair British Brasserie,” owner James Robson explained.
A completely British-based menu.
As part of the revamp, Mews of Mayfair has created a completely British-based menu. With local meats, seasonal ingredients, and popular dessert options such as banoffee pie. Newly appointed chef Jamie Hibbert will be leading the team in the kitchen to create these traditional feasts.
Redesigned to match the new theme.
The interior has also been redesigned to match the new theme. It is now an homage to classic British produce. With local linens, oak tables and worn leather chairs. Rustic plates and cups have also been specially sourced to give the venue a wholesome, homely feel.
