Nello Balan is a New York restaurateur, famous for providing delicious food with an exceptionally hefty price tag. A serving of truffle pasta at his Madison Avenue restaurant Nello was charged at $275 (£175). Something which one recent guest took to the New York Times to report.
Restaurant high prices.
“For a moment I thought I was hallucinating,” the customer wrote in a letter to the publication. “The meal for three of us cost $400. How was that possible?” When he asked the waiter for justification of the surprising charge. The waiter explained that the restaurant’s high prices were to be expected due to its location. It had been established for 20 years and was in close proximity to a branch of luxury brand Hermes.
High quality Italian dining.
It is therefore unsurprising that Balan, upon deciding to bring his business to Britain. He chose the prestigious district of Mayfair as his destination. He has signed a £2million lease for a venue in the elite area of Mount Street. Whilst there is no word yet as to whether the exact prices will be transferred. Diners can expect high quality Italian dining. It won’t come cheap, but it will be luxurious. Like the Madison Avenue branch, is bound to attract celebrity clientele from across the country.
