Now another prestigious fashion house has joined the ranks of Mayfair’s fashion elite. Because American designer brand Oscar de la Renta has opened its first store in the UK – at 130 Mount Street.

The space was previously occupied by a Nicky Clarke hair salon. It has been given a complete makeover by US based consultancy Meyer Davis Studio. The concept store spans an impressive three floors and gives the brand a chance to showcase clothes, accessories, beauty products, home décor and children’s wear. As well as its iconic bridal lines.

Alex Bolen, CEO of Oscar de la Renta, said that location was key. The company had spent 5 years searching for the right position for the store: “It was important to ensure that our local customer was well-serviced. We want to look after our Mayfair friends, and tourist traffic alike,” he explained. Mayfair is the ideal choice for such a high end label. The store will surely enjoy success thanks to the fashion savvy residents. Label seeking tourists and frequent celebrity visitors in the area.
